Adding a bit of color to a room can go a long way towards making it feel new. If you're normally a subdued color person, adding bright colors into the mix can make a room feel completely different, like the bedroom in this photo.

Another great home improvement in this bedroom is the use of small mirrors on the wall above the headboard. It gives the room a fun feel and helps brighten it up a bit with light reflection.

You can see this is a smaller bedroom, so space is limited. A corner shelving unit is great for showing pictures and knick-knacks. Plus it puts dead-space to use, where you may not usually have anything sitting.

The shelf above the dresser also adds some decorative space to this room, with simple plants up there. The whole design looks modern and tasteful.
