DIY Home Improvement: Drying Rack for Jeans

pinterest ladder clothes rackThis is an awesome do it yourself home improvement that not only uses an old ladder about to be trashed...but it also helps you find a place to air-dry jeans and other long clothes. the blogger who posted this idea runs through the step by step on her website, and it seems pretty easy.

I love the idea of using household items for things other than for what they were designed. Using an old ladder about to be thrown away in a new way is cool - and environmentally friendly! This old ladder, with some paint and a bit of TLC, turned into a very cool place to hang clothes.

This DIY guru uses her ladder for drying jeans. You could also use it for hanging coats in a mud room. You could also put it above a washer and dryer as a place to hang any clothes to dry. There's a lot you could do with this DIY clothes hanger.

DIY is becoming so popular, and I can see why! These projects are often great, inexpensive ways of adding to your quality of life. I am certainly someone who can appreciate having organizations and methods of doing things, even when it comes to my laundry.

This is a great idea, but I just wish there was more info as to how to actually complete the job. I have that complaint with a lot of DIY blogs, or their steps are too vague to follow along with at home; that’s why I’ve become addicted to channels like HGTV and DIY networks to find projects. I record them to my Hopper DVR box so I can pause, rewind, and replay a step if I need clarification. It has so much recording space available that I don’t have to pick and choose which projects to record and I can keep them stored in one spot for quick reference. If you have the link for the original post on this project, please let me know. My house could sure use something like this. Between keeping up with my job at Dish and the rest of my household, I admit my laundry room goes neglected!
