DIY Kitchen Remodel: Chalkboard Paint for Notes

DIY kitchen remodel chalkboard paint

Paint your walls with chalkboard paint and take notes on the wall, like recipes! A great idea for your next DIY kitchen remodel project.

Imagine trying a new recipe you found on Pinterest, but you don't have a printer and you don't want your laptop or iPad in the kitchen. Writing on the wall means you can see the recipe from anywhere in the kitchen, and it's always in front of you.

The other bonus to a chalkboard wall is that you can leave love notes, instructions or jokes & riddles on the walls for the whole family to see. It's a great way to jazz up your kitchen remodel project.

You can even mix chalkboard paint in any color to match your kitchen decor. According to A Beautiful Mess (that link back there), it's easy and you only need a few ingredients. This could allow you to turn your kitchen into a writeable canvas for notes, drawings, recipes and more.

How well does it clean up around the stove top with the grease and everything?

Great question Rachel. I hadn't thought about that. Maybe the wall should go on a non-stove wall :)

Cheers and thanks for reading!

Why would you want to reach over your stove to write down a recipe? Doesn't make sense.
