AmeriFirst Home Mortgage is once again proud to sponsor a terrific event in Kalamazoo. The 2012 Signature Chefs Auction to benefit our local March of Dimes chapter is coming up this fall. This means we have all summer to talk about it and raise awareness. The first step is coming up Tuesday April 10 with the official kick-off event. Below is the information from the Kalamazoo March of Dimes for Tuesday's event and the details of the 2012 Signature Chefs Auction event as well.
Thursday, October 18, 2012 marks the night of the area’s most acclaimed gourmet extravaganza, the 19 annual March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction, being held at the Radisson Hotel’s Arcadia Ballroom. We are inviting you to become a part of this amazing event and play a most important role…that of a committee member.
The March of Dimes will assemble a baker’s dozen of the finest chefs from the Greater Kalamazoo and Calhoun area to feature their signature dishes. Guests will make their way to each chef station, sampling the “best of the best” from our local restaurants. Add a live auction featuring fine dining packages provided by our local chefs and a silent auction featuring “one-of-a-kind” items from local businesses, and it’s a perfect recipe for a star-studded spectacular evening.
The 2011 Kalamazoo’s Signature Chefs Auction raised over $109,000 for the March of Dimes with over 90% of those dollars going to help further our mission. With your help, we can continue this trend! As with many events, it takes a committee of extraordinary volunteers to make the night shine! That’s where you come in!
We would like to invite you to attend a volunteer recruitment party hosted by our Lead Chef, Eric Gillish of The Union on April 10. You will be introduced to the March of Dimes, learn more about an evening of exquisite cuisine, silent and live auctions, as well as how your participation as a committee member or sponsor will make you a champion for babies in Michigan. Join us at CityScape Event Centre (above The Union) on Tuesday, April 10at 6 pm for our 2012 Signature Chefs Auction Kickoff as we share our important mission – saving babies. Together, we can make a difference.
