Michigan mortgage firm expands to Knoxville
A Michigan mortgage firm is moving into the Knoxville market, and tapping a local renovation specialist to head the venture. AmeriFirst Home Mortgage announced Monday that it will open a Knoxville office this month in the Homberg area.
The office will be led by Jeff Talman, who previously worked for Wells Fargo. Talman said Tuesday that he specializes in renovation financing, which is based on the future appraised value of a property after renovations, as opposed to traditional financing that is based on a home's current appraised value.
In a news release, AmeriFirst CEO Dave Gahm said "We pride ourselves on establishing quality relationships with our customers and being involved with products that are meaningful to the enhancement of the neighborhoods and communities we serve."
